To give the holiday home a makeover to ensure it appealed to the widest audience throughout the sales campaign.

Determine the extent of makeover required and set a realistic budget to achieve this. Identify a real estate agent to sell the home. Use what elements were available in the home, de-clutter and dispose of all elements not required. Determine whether to rent or purchase furnishings. Present a home that was clean and could be enjoyed by the purchasers immediately without the need for any essential renovation.

The budget was low and very little maintenance had been carried out on the home over the years. It was important to identify what areas to focus on to make a positive impact and which areas to leave alone.

A sale was achieved and a price secured in line with expectations. The purchasers also negotiated to purchase the furnishings so the vendors expenses were re-paid.
